Prof. Eugene Cloete
Microbiologist And Water Expert
Stellenbosch University’s Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation (since 2012), former Dean of Science, and Founding Director of the Stellenbosch University Water Institute. He has supervised more than 100 MSc and PhD students, authored five books, holds 10 patents, and has published over 160 scientific papers.
He has served on several journal editorial boards and held senior roles in the International Water Association. He is an IWA Fellow and Senior Fellow of WISA, and has also served on the boards of the CSIR and Water Research Commission. In 2016, he was appointed to the ASSAf Council.

Owner of Elint and a highly experienced compliance professional with a strong track record across industrial projects in Africa.
She brings expertise in management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NRCS, and SABS, and has supported the implementation and commissioning of large-scale industrial facilities with a focus on safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Julius Steyn
Investment & Business Development
He has been instrumental in large-scale international transactions, as a private equity and investment banker and was involved in complex banking innovations such as the implementation of mobile banking in South Africa, bank-assurance development, alternative risk-finance.
He is presently the Group CEO of Exchange Trust, an international issuer of corporate finance instruments, and CEO of H2O Securities that focus on water sector finance solutions. He received several accreditation’s and awards, one being the African Leadership award recognized for his expertise in finance and strategic business growth.
